Instructor or Assistant Professor in Communication & Media Studies (3 Year Term)
Instructor or Assistant Professor, 3 year term appointment beginning fall, 2020 (potentially renewable)
Northern Michigan University anticipates hiring an Instructor or Assistant Professor to teach introductory courses in Communication (i.e., public speaking, interpersonal communication, and/or small group process) and Media Studies (e.g., introduction to mass media). Ability to teach courses such as new media literacy, environmental communication, or other courses in area of specialty is desirable. Other responsibilities include departmental service and advising majors.
Appointment at the Instructor level requires an MA in Speech, Communication Studies, Mass Media, or a related field; appointment at the Assistant Professor level requires completion of the PhD. Teaching experience is desirable.
