Assistant Professor of Applied Communication
Position Overview: The Department of Communication and Media at Merrimack College invites applications for a tenure track Assistant Professor specializing in Applied Communication as it relates to Environmental Studies beginning fall 2017. A Ph.D. in-hand in Communication or a related field is preferred but ABD candidates completing by July 1 will also be considered.
The successful candidate should demonstrate experience and/or the ability to teach topics such as organizational change, collaboration, non-profits, science communication, health communication, communication for social change, and other courses related to environmental studies and sustainability and/or the intersection of groups, organizations, and the environment. While being asked to contribute to the Communication and the Environmental Studies and Sustainability core curricula, the successful candidate will also have the opportunity to develop courses in her/his area of expertise. Merrimack College has a 3/3 course load for tenure track faculty.
