Friends of the Earth Scotland is looking for a new Communications Officer to join our friendly team in Edinburgh. This is a key role within Friends of the Earth Scotland (FoES), working closely with the Director, the Head of Campaigns and Campaigners.

Working closely with other FoES staff members, you will lead on ensuring effective communication of the organisation's aims and objectives to its members, supporters and activists, as well as the media, selected stakeholders and general public audiences.

You will be responsible for ensuring high and positive awareness of FoES is delivered through regular contact with the media across all outlets, through the organisation's website, social media accounts and other online and virtual tools, and through the production and dissemination of publications and printed promotional materials.

You will contribute to the delivery of organisational campaigning activity, and membership recruitment and fulfilment activity, through your work, and will help ensure that all FoES communications reflect and help deliver FoES agreed strategy and campaign objectives.

You will be responsible for the management and delivery of the organisation's brand and identity, and will be expected to innovate and experiment to ensure that FoES is utilising the most effective and affordable means of communicating both internally and externally.

You will assist with other reasonable duties as requested by your manager.
