Outreach and Communication Coordinator
The Outreach and Engagement Coordinator will carry out ongoing outreach and engagement initiatives that build support for, awareness of and participation in the programs and activities of the Chequamegon Bay Area Partnership and the Sigurd Olson Environmental Institute at Northland College.
Successful candidates for this position will be familiar with current best practices for community-based outreach techniques, including social marketing initiatives; be adept at employing the tools and techniques associated with such initiatives; and have demonstrated success with designing and implementing outreach and engagement campaigns for natural resource, environmental, or sustainability issues in the Upper Midwest. Successful candidates will also be familiar with multi-stakeholder collaboration and the coordination of integrated marketing programs across departments. Typical work will include collaboration with regional partners and Northland College staff to: (a) coordinate outreach and engagement initiatives among campus and community partners; (b) develop and manage outreach contact databases; (c) coordinate and manage website and social media communication; (d) and promote and coordinate campus and regional outreach events through a variety of communications activities. This is a two-year, partially grant-funded position. The position may be extended beyond two years following budgetary approval.
