Transmediated Environmental Communication

Panel on Transmediated environmental communication
Transmedia, literally “across media,” is a term that is being used to describe the way in which what were once distinct forms of mediated communication – books, radio, television – are now overlapping and interconnected in increasingly complex and interesting ways.
I would like to propose a COCE 2013 panel that will explore the intersection of transmedia and the environment. At a personal level I am interested in transmedia as contested terrain whereby environmentalists are finding clever and effective ways to use transmedia to create change while advertisers/marketers are finding clever and effective ways to use transmedia to enhance business-as-usual.
If you think you might be interested in participating on this panel, please reply to me directly at jgood@brocku.ca by the end of the day Monday September 10.
Thanks!
Jennifer
