Andrea Catellani co-edits special journal issue on Environment, Nature and Communication in the Anthropocene Era
IECA member Andrea Catellani of the Catholic University of Louvain and colleague Céline Pascual Espuny of the University of Aix-Marseille have co-edited a special issue of the journal Revue Française des Sciences de l’Information et de la Communication. The issue's theme is "Environnement, nature et communication à l'ère de l'anthropocène" (Environment, Nature and Communication in the Anthropocene Era).
This issue brings together ten papers (in French, one of them in English) that illustrate the current effort to think in SIC (Information and Communication Sciences) the ways in which the environment is coming to communication. This encounter between the environment and communication, and between the environment and communication sciences, is placed under the sign of a notion, that of Anthropocene, which indicates an unprecedented quantitative and qualitative scale of human impact on the planet.
The issue is available free of charge online on the journal's website.
