As part of our commitment to nurturing understanding and practice that moves the world toward environmental sustainability for all, we are pleased to maintain affiliated status with global peer associations. The IECA proudly partners with the following organizations: 

 

 

           

UNFCCC

The IECA is recognized as a Research and Independent Non-Governmental Organization (RINGO), a constituency of the UNFCCC. RINGOs conduct research and other activities to address climate change. This designation enables the IECA to attend COP and SB meetings. 

 

  

 

 

ICA

The ICA is a global professional association for those engaged in the scholarly study of communication. ICA holds an annual convention, publishes journals and books, and provides other resources. IECA is granted a dedicated panel session at the ICA conference.

 

  

 

 

IAMCR

The International Association for Media and Communication Research aims to support and develop media and communication research throughout the world. IECA selects members to represent our organization at IAMCR; these representatives are eligible for IAMCR grants and awards.

 

  

 

 

PCST

The Global Network for Science Communication is an international association of researchers, communication staff, journalists, and other professionals engaged in public communication of science. PCT seeks to promote new ideas, methods, intellectual and practical questions, and perspectives on the communication of science and technology.

 

  

              

 

S4F

S4F is an international, interdisciplinary, non-partisan association of scientists invested in addressing climate change and global sustainability. The initiative provides information and resources, engagement activities, and coordinates regional work groups.
