IECA Governance & Elections The IECA is a global association of environmental communication professionals, founded in 2011 as a 501c(3) nonprofit organization. Our association is governed by a 13-member Board of Directors that includes elected and appointed members. The Board sets the association's strategic direction and monitors the outcomes of programs and activities. The Association Manager is responsible for day-to-day administration and implementing the vision of the Board. Here, you will find documents related to the overall governance of the IECA, including our Association Bylaws, Code of Ethics, and Privacy Policy. Members can access the full collection of IECA Board Meeting Minutes and Biennial Reports in the file libraries at the bottom of this page.
Elections The IECA holds regular elections for the office of Vice-Chair and open positions on the Board of Directors during October and November of even years. Special elections may be held at other times to fill open elected Board member positions when needed. Prior to elections, the Nominating Committee will solicit nominations (including self-nominations) from the membership and create a slate of candidates. Elections are administered through an online voting process over a two-week period. A ballot form will appear on this page when the next election commences.
