Registration for COCE 2017 will include the following:
- Conference materials.
- Admission to all COCE 2017 plenary and panel sessions, including keynotes.
- Welcome reception on June 29.
- Refreshments on June 30, July 1 and July 2.
- Lunch on June 30, July 1 and July 2.
- Access to recordings of all conference sessions.
The conference dinner, held at the historic City Rooms on June 30, will be an optional add-on. Places are limited, and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Book your ticket(s) early. This can be done at the same time as conference registration. The City Rooms, a grade I listed Georgian building, is located right in the heart of Leicester city centre. The conference dinner will include a welcome drink, a 3-course meal, and disco entertainment. The cost is £35.00. Delegates are responsible for arranging and paying for their own travel and accommodation separately.
Please note that Virtual Conference registration only includes the session recordings and live streams (if possible). We will not be delivering your meals or snacks ;-) Presenters using this option will use Skype to deliver their talks.
The deadline for early bird registration is 11:59 pm Eastern time on May 2, 2017. After that fees go up 20% in all categories.
The last day to register for the regular conference is June 25th, 2017 - online registration for the regular conference is now closed. You can register in-person when you arrive. You may still register online for the virtual conference - see below.
The following table shows the registration fees in each category. Registration fees are in British pounds. They do NOT include IECA membership.
There are discounts for IECA members as well as for FULL-TIME students at any level and for RESIDENTS of Lower Income Countries (LIC). Those registering as students may be asked for documentation of their full-time status. After you pay for registration, The IECA will check registration categories against membership history, and student and residency status to ensure you have registered in the correct category. Please be careful about this and help us avoid extra administrative costs.

Anyone can attend the conference, and if you join the IECA before registering, you can get the discount.
Anyone who is on the program and contributing to the conference (in person or virtually) MUST be a member of the IECA in 2017. Co-authors who are not participating in the conference are excepted.
Memberships must be paid up BEFORE registering in order to receive the discounts.
Unfortunately, we are unable to offer any other financial support to attend the conference.
If you determine that you are unable to attend the conference after you have registered, please let us know as soon as possible. The University of Leicester will refund registration fees according to the following schedule.
- Before May 31, 2017 - 100% of fees less £25 administrative fee
- June 1-15 - 50% of fees less £25 administrative fee
- After June 15 - no refunds
IECA membership fees are not refundable.
