IECA Elections Mark Next Phase in Association Growth

The next phase in the evolution of IECA starts now! Self-nominations for Vice Chair (who will become the Chair at COCE 2015 and serve through COCE 2017) and board members to serve from COCE 2013 to COCE 2017 will be accepted through September 30. Only IECA members can self-nominate and vote; and the entire election process will be managed at Voting will occur October 22 through November 7, with results announced as soon as practical.
The elections page of the IECA website will facilitate self-nominations, candidate review, voting and announcement of the results, so be sure to check in often. Vice-Chair Lee Ahern, Secretary Anders Hansen, and Executive Director Mark Meisner will oversee the election.
IECA has established a strong foundation. In 2012 we saw a member renewal rate of over 80%, which is extremely high by professional association standards. We continue to add news members, build on the functionality to the website, and plan for the first non-US COCE in Uppsala, Sweden, in June 2013.
The new association leaders elected this year will be in a position to determine the next phase of growth for IECA. What other constituencies can we serve? What additional member benefits can be developed? What other member types will attract new partners? How else can the association facilitate networking and cooperation? What does IECA stand for?
If you feel you can help answer these questions, self-nominate! If you want to add to the discussion, don’t hesitate to get involved. The IECA needs you!
